Description
Client type refers to the type of claimant in receipt of Carer’s Allowance (CA), whether the person is classified as a child, of working age or of State Pension age.
State Pension age is currently 65 for men, and is gradually increasing from 60 to 65 for women. Under current legislation, State Pension age for women will equalise with State Pension age for men at 65 in 2018. Both men's and women's State Pension age will increase from 65 to 66 between December 2018 and October 2020. 'Over State Pension age' includes claimants who meet the criteria above and 'Working age' claimants are those who are below State Pension age, but over 15.
